After staying in Canggu for a while, I was surprised at how more laid-back Ubud is. What a cool down.
Canggu is kind of hyper-active, it’s probably the best place to go when you refuse to face the depth of your existence and you’d rather distract yourself with the crowd and all sorts of activities.
Nonetheless, the place is also best for your productivity— ironic, since many souls are there to balance a dream and carefree life, and work. Souls who have shunned society’s usual perspective on living overall and those who understood that fulfillment is only dictated by our inner selves are obviously there, too. Hence, the inspiration level is also high.
Anyway, the weather is cooler today, slightly quite like Baguio City in the Philippines, guess this marks the end of summer. Perfect for walking. I loved it a lot.
I love Ubud!❤️🔥
Recently, I recalled when I asked a friend of mine why she was moving to Norway and she said, “There’s just nothing left for me in Manila anymore.”
At that time, I couldn’t relate to her since I had a lot of shit going on in the city. My art shows, my unfulfilled goals surrounding traditional art, parties, toxic love interests (that was way before I got into a serious long-term commitment with somebody- uhm that also didn’t work out eventually,) etc. etc.
But now, I completely understand what she meant. 🙂
