Art: A Mini Sketchbook
Some stuff raw, spontaneous, unpretentious.
Kuala Lumpur: A Visit to Balai Seni Negara (National Art Gallery)
Balai Seni Negara (National Art Gallery)
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
November 2019
The National Gallery in Kuala Lumpur is an old soul revealing ancient and modern technology, traditional, and contemporary art. I got that supernatural and eerie vibe that I usually pick from museums- but this one has an intensity to it. An ongoing show was dark as hell, I couldn’t take photos of some of the works, because I knew they’re going to haunt me in the Philippines. I’m still hearing the background sound reverberating, to be honest, they’re more vivid than the visuals- if not for these photos I took.
Post Contemporary Tunes
There are situations where I prefer things to be quiet and orderly rather than chaotic or full of shit and nonsense, but if it isn’t possible (e.g. I’m in a government office waiting in line for some papers) as it does sound ideal to me and way unrealistic in the real world, I listen to music instead.
Happiness and Empowerment Go Hand in Hand
Art Empowerment Project 2019
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Happy to show these snippets of what went down at the Art Empowerment Project of Art Dialogo, Malaysia Art Society, and Soka Gakkai.
Hues of Happiness Opening Ceremony
Last Saturday, November 16, the Hues of Happiness Exhibition by 23 Southeast Asian Artists opened to the public at Wisma Kebudayaan Soka Gakkai Exhibition Hall in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I flew all the way from the Philippines to bask in its grand creative experience.
