Beneath Manila’s Burning Sky

Sunsets. Hmmm… The sky doesn’t wait. It rushes, spills, erupts into color.
It holds everything first: light, heat, tension. Until it can no longer stay undefined.

Manila sunsets aren’t soft. They burn. Just as vivid as the ones in the islands, if you take the time to really see them.
Where Capacity Becomes Direction
Movement ceased to be an escape a long time ago. It stopped about being chosen or proving. Only… flow on a clean slate. Moving like it’s going to fall into place every time. And no matter what.
Green against yellow- vivid. It’s growth beside discernment, alive without urgency, tension without conflict, which is important. Two things that don’t cancel each other out.
Painting: New Friends
My artworks have always been intensely inspired by both good and unpleasant memories. But in recent years, I’ve noticed a shift in the stories I choose to create. I now gravitate toward pieces that come from joy and genuine inspiration, like “Boat Ride,” instead of building my work around experiences that once felt ugly.
The Shedding Continues
A clear no is not something to work through. It is information.
This applies to systems, timing, access, and your own capacity, because at its core, it is about taking action in response to what is real.
“Act as if” is about how you show up, not about how reality is required to respond.
In personal relationships, a clear no is already reality speaking. Sometimes it is stated directly. Sometimes it is demonstrated. Sometimes a harmful dynamic makes the answer clear without words. Fixation on what is unavailable is not a manifestation process; it is fantasy disguised as hope. Thought without reciprocal action does not move life forward, it traps the nervous system inside a closed loop. This is how people spiral around what is already obvious.
Over time, the body bonds with absence rather than connection, it bonds with what cannot meet it. Through attachment, the nervous system is trained for non-reciprocity. In the age of Instagram Stories, this pattern is increasingly normalized.
Presence means responding to reality and moving forward from it.
