I went to the Museum of Tarlac to get some paintings, and found this lady sculpture at the bottom of the stairway.
I forgot to capture the artist’s name and the title, but she struck me immediately. She holds a brain in her right hand and a heart in her left, as if she’s balancing two kinds of truth, deliberate, composed.
I couldn’t help reflecting on my recent thoughts about energy, and how this piece felt like a physical manifestation of that inner dialogue. And there’s another angle I thought about too, one I’d rather keep to myself.
Tarlac is about 2.5 to 3 hours drive away from Manila and the museum is situated along the highway.
