Ubud has such a special place in my heart.
It’s my first love in Bali.
It felt different back in January and also in March, right now, everything seems clearer. Vivid.
So vivid that I almost didn’t recognize the place. Well, everything is truly affected by how we feel and think. Hence, pausing makes sense, because it allows us to be there for ourselves and really get to know ourselves better. To be completely truthful.
I was delighted by the places I’ve checked out this round of my trip, carefully handpicked, and they all inspired me.
Above is at Tony Raka Art Lounge. Spacious. A bunch of selected artworks on display. Hints of nature. Coffee and food were great. Being here strengthened some of my ideas and plans. It’s a beautiful, must-experience gallery.
And below are of traditions that I never miss to appreciate or get curious about.
This is part of a preparation for a wedding ceremony.
I dig how vibrant they are.
Here comes the masks and cats
I actually first saw this gallery of where the masks are in 2016.
These Barong Masks are distinct cultural artifacts of Bali which, in spiritual beliefs, mean they are guardians that bring cosmic balance and blessings to the community.
