New Painting in Progress: Inner Child
As shared on Insta earlier, “This painting has been keeping me glued to it till wee hours in the morning lately. Fun though and it’s almost done. The title is, “Inner Child” and it’s painted in acrylic on a 3 x 4ft canvas. Artwork in Progress: Left Earth
Started working on a piece called, “Left Earth” about a friend who recently passed away. It’s the saddest news I heard days before Christmas. Death of anyone I know (close to me or not) gives me that overpowering feeling that’s hard to dismiss. I don’t know how one copes- but each individual has his own way of recuperating. It also causes me to confront my own fragile mortality and makes me somewhat less afraid of it. It makes being alive all the more genuine. We’re all going to leave this earth eventually- sometimes suddenly. So two nights before Christmas, I drew and painted to get rid of the feeling, yet wound up still having nightmares in my sleep.
